What a treat to be able to own such a piece of Americana! A 15'x15' story and a half single pen poplar and oak chestnut cabin approximately 10' tall that was an original Kentucky mountain schoolhouse! This is a fine example of a typical Eastern Kentucky one-room schoolhouse. These small cabins were nestled back in the hollows throughout Appalachia. Notice the doorway in the gable end.
